ù Bagghiu

The peasant farms were built at the end of the 1800s. Sharecroppers built them who managed the land granted by the lord on their own.

Unlike the main beams, the walls were thick from 0.50 m to 1 meter, built in stones with common mortar. The structure of the peasant baglio is usually a rectangle, with small high windows, slits in the walls. The interior consisted of a stable, a cellar, a barn and a room for sleeping and eating. All the internal compartments were communicating and access was from a single large door, that of the stable.

In this bagghiù among other things, wine and oil were produced and even today, we can see some tools of daily use of peasant life.

The structure was restored accurately in 2012, it keeps all the charm of its centuries-old history intact: exposed bricks, terracotta floors, ceilings with old wooden beams, make the atmosphere magical.
Since April 2016 the restaurant is also open as a restaurant, our dishes are seasonal trying to use local products.

The Mediterranean cuisine recalls the old flavors but with some “revisitation”.
The organization of events is the fulcrum of our work, Wedding receptions, Communions, Confirmations, Baptisms and Birthdays.
